Kinsman & Associates Performed a mechanical, electrical,
and plumbing design for a classroom and library edition
to Grace Academy in Dallas for Frank Welch & Associates.
The building expanded the existing school by adding
five classrooms, a workroom, and a new library. In addition
to a complete MEP design, our design included verification
of compliance with ASHRAE 90.1-2001 requirements for energy
use.
Kinsman & Associates also engineered the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for the conversion of an auto dealership show floor into office space. The dealership had been abandoned for several years and had been subject to numerous leaks in that time. This left absolutely no existing electrical or HVAC infrastructure. Kinsman & Associates researched suitable HVAC equipment for the remodeled space. Using construction plans supplied by the architect, Kinsman & Associates was able to construct a computer simulation in order to select properly sized equipment. Additionally, Kinsman & Associates mapped out entirely new circuitry for the space, balancing the light fixture, receptacle, HVAC, and occupational sensor electrical loads between the several new panels that were to be installed.
