Kinsman & Associates has performed analysis, retrofit design, and construction monitoring at nine campuses for the DeSoto ISD. These projects have included: designing a district-wide energy management system (EMS), converting inefficient lighting sources to high efficiency fluorescent luminaires with electronic ballasts; installing reflectors, motion detectors and photocells; replacing electrical resistance heating rooftop package units with high efficiency natural gas heating rooftop units; replacing an old and inefficient hot water hydronic system with a high efficiency hot water boiler; and changing out an old 385 Ton chiller with a high efficiency rotary compressor chiller of the same capacity.
