ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE:
Mr. Sullivan was a consulting engineer from 2001 to 2003, joining Kinsman & Associates immediately upon completing his undergraduate degree. He took a two-year hiatus to pursue and obtain his Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering. During that period, Mr. Sullivan was employed by the University to teach labs and perform research for the Electrical Engineering Department. While he worked for K&A, he served as a project manager for a cooler/freezer system upgrade and an auto dealership remodel. He was the primary author of the Energy Assessment Report (EAR) for the City of Mesquite. He has been a major contributor to designs involving electrical equipment sizing, power factor analysis, piping systems, air handling unit retrofits, and lighting retrofits. Mr. Sullivan has been involved in various fields of engineering such as field data collection, standardization of design drawings, development of energy conservation calculation methods, building energy use simulations, cogeneration evaluation, air quality permit application, lighting systems specifications, and others. In his senior design project at John Brown University, he developed a simulation model, correlated with metered utility data, to evaluate the energy efficiency of a complex existing building and postulate additional modifications that could be applied to improve the building=s energy efficiency.
OTHER EXPERIENCE:
Mr. Sullivan is proficient in several engineering and other software applications such as Autodesk Building Systems 2006, AutoCAD, MS Excel, C++, MATLAB, and Carrier E2O-II.
