PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE:
Mr. Kinsman founded KINSMAN & ASSOCIATES
in 1986 and served as its president until January of 2003.
As vice president of this firm his primary responsibilities
are management and marketing. However, he also serves
as manager and contributing engineer to many individual
projects. Before founding KINSMAN & ASSOCIATES, Mr.
Kinsman served for five years as Vice President of Bywaters
& Associates, Consulting Engineers. In this position,
he was responsible for marketing, project scheduling,
personnel assignments, and personnel development. As a
former member of the American Management Association (AMA)
and as an independent consultant, Mr. Kinsman provided
management consulting services to Dallas-based companies
during the late 1970s. Earlier in his career, he was a
manager in the New Business Development Division of Texas
Instruments and served both as TI's Corporate Energy Resources
Manager and Corporate Energy Conservation Coordinator.
ENGINEERING & ANALYSIS EXPERIENCE:
Mr. Kinsman began his professional career as an operations
research analyst at Cornell Laboratories. He extended
these capabilities into systems analysis for Texas Instruments
and for numerous clients in the energy-conservation field.
His analysis and design work have included advanced military
systems, laboratory systems, HVAC systems, lighting systems,
fuel systems, solid waste heat recovery systems, and energy
management systems. He has served as a consultant to the
state of Texas and the U.S. Department of Energy as a
technical writer, lecturer, technical reviewer, and grant
monitor.
PUBLICATIONS AND OTHER EXPERIENCE:
Mr. Kinsman has served as visiting lecturer
for the engineering department of Southern Methodist University.
As a registered Property Inspector, he has provided inspection
services for purchasers and owners of large commercial
properties. His many report and publication titles include:
“Electrical Demand Control,” “Industrial
Lighting,” “Alternate Energy Sources,”
“Guidebook for Preparation of Technical Assistance
Reports,” “Energy Management and Control Systems
Requirements,” and “Remote Sensing.”
